Johanna is a documentary filmmaker, photographer, designer, activist and musician.
Her work explores the intersection of advocacy and storytelling. She also loves hyper personal self indulgent art of all kinds.
Johanna is an exorbitant dancer, a solo-cross-county motorcyclist and an innovative speller. She got her BA and MA from The New School, in media studies and documentary film.
Most recently, Johanna was a fellow with the IRC Amman-based Middle East Research and Development Hub, creating video for Syrian community innovators.
She currently lives in Los Angeles.
